From the main menu in the Agent Desk select Settings then select the Advanced button.

Ensure that the label and Show Inherited check boxes are selected.

Enter enable chat (or you can use the full technical label: com.unblu.messenger.textChatEnabled) into the Filter field. The Enable chat check box displays.

Select or deselect the enable chat check box then save, log out and back in to apply the changes.
